Bedside “Sitters”, often used for patients at high risk for falls, have been deemed expensive, and their effectiveness unclear. Annals of Internal Medicine reviewed evidence, and compared the effects of sitters, and alternatives to sitters, on patient falls in acute care hospitals in this article.
